Luxembourg is abolishing its tax classes. Here is what replaces them, and who wins
From 1 January 2028 Luxembourg plans to replace tax classes 1, 1a and 2 with a single scale, Tarif U, doubling the tax-free allowance and cutting the number of brackets from 22 to 10. Existing couples can stay on the old treatment until 2052.
